Beaches

The Gold Coast is famed for its 42 kilometres of beautiful beaches. They range from protected areas for family swimming to excellent surfing locations for the more adventurous wave riders.

The calm waters along the edge of the Southport Broadwater, protected inlets such as Tallebudgera Creek and bays such as Greenmount and Coolangatta beach are favourites for families with young children.

The open beaches from Main Beach to Tweed Heads are enjoyed by swimmers, body surfers and board riders alike.

Every day, 16 beaches (up to 26 during school holidays) are patrolled, so please observe all surf safety signs and flags and only swim in patrolled areas.

But there's more to the Gold Coast than just beaches...

Boat Cruises

There is a choice of cruises available, all departing from the piers in the Marine Village.

See Sanctuary Cove from the beautiful perspective of the Coomera River. Tours with full commentary take 20 minutes and depart hourly from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm from the Boat Shed on the Promenade.
