Coaching Tip - Part #2 Level Hip turn for a great backswing

This Step #2 of a three part training exercise. Step #3 next week - a great forward swing


A very common problem in the backswing is a collapsing left side. In the pics below

  • The left hip is moved slightly towards the target (60% on left side)

  • The head is shifted slightly back to create an inverted spine angle

  • The backswing is made keeping the left hip UP and also maintaining the inverted spine angle

  • This dramatically simplifies the forward swing motion
