To have a solid short game requires simplicity. Having the arms and body in sync with good balance produces more consistent contact.
Putting a golf basket (or a slightly deflated basketball) between the elbows encourages the arms to be moved by the body. Keep the nose on the target side of the ball thru the swing.
Keeping the body still and just hitting with the arms is very hard to control. This simple drill produces results.
SETUP checklist
Feet aiming left
Ball position middle of heels
Low relaxed left shoulder
Weight 60% left / nose on target side of ball
